London Food Poverty Report Launched at City Hall

Sustain – the alliance for better food & farming have launched a new report highlighting what London’s local boroughs can do to tackle the issue of food poverty in the capital. Beyond The Food Bank was launched at City Hall by the Chair of the London Food Board, Rosie Boycott and supported by funding from Trust for London. The report highlights how more than £6 million worth of Healthy Start Vouchers go unclaimed every year in London. This a huge missed opportunity to support vulnerable families. The report recommends innovative approaches to increasing uptake of this important benefit and highlights our Rose Vouchers project as an example of best practice.
