You’ve decided to take on a challenge event to raise some money for Alexandra Rose Charity- amazing, thank you! Whether you’re training to run a marathon or cycling from London to Brighton, it has never been easier to kick-start your fundraising efforts through a JustGiving online fundraising page.
JustGiving’s online fundraising pages make it simple for you to create and share your page with friends and family. However, it can be quite daunting to know where to begin, so we have put together a collection of tips that will help you get started and have you creating a brilliant-looking fundraising page to support Alexandra Rose Charity in no time.
Your fundraising helps us keep our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in action and supports us to help families with young children to buy fresh, nutritious fruit & veg. Our Fundraising Team would love to hear about your plans and provide more advice! Please give them an email fundraising@alexandrarose.org.uk

A guide to the perfect fundraising page
Tell your story
Your story is essential to encouraging your friends and family to make a donation to your fundraising page; you’re 36% more likely to get donations by writing a page summary! Explain why Alexandra Rose Charity means a lot to you and the work that their donation will be supporting. Keep it short and sweet, and make sure it includes enough information to help others connect with what you’re doing. Don’t forget to add some pictures of yourself to your fundraising page so friends & family know it’s you!
Set your fundraising goal
Setting a fundraising target can lead to a 45% increase in the amount you raise. Make sure you set a realistic target to begin with; if you smash your target before your challenge event, you can just increase it!
Post updates to your page
Every milestone matters! From your first donation to the end of your fundraising and everything in between. Use your page update as your diary; people love to see what you’ve been up to.
There are some great apps like Strava or FitBit, which you can link to your JustGiving page so people can see all the hard training you’re doing.
Don’t forget to thank your donors
Be sure to thank everyone who donates to your fundraiser. You never know, they might donate again! Add a personal touch to your donors by editing your thank you message. This is included when JustGiving sends your donors their receipt.
