David Austin Roses supports Alexandra Rose Charity

We’re delighted to announce we have partnered with David Austin Roses as part of their Planting Positivity in 2021 campaign!

Alexandra Rose Charity has been chosen as one of three health-based charities for this special initiative that will see us receive a donation of £2.50 from the sale of each Princess Alexandra of Kent rose sold, the rose named after our Royal President, HRH Princess Alexandra.

David Austin Roses believe that planting a rose is ‘planting a little positivity’, something which has never been more important, and so this year in particular they wanted to support health and wellbeing organisations.

“Over our 60 years, we have continued to breed ever healthier roses as our knowledge, expertise and varieties themselves continue to improve. We are committed to providing customers with rose varieties that we truly believe are the best and deserve a place within any garden. We are delighted to give back to causes we believe in.”

“We’re delighted to be partnering with David Austin to raise funds for the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project. The last year has been tough for everyone, but for families on low incomes, the challenge has not been how to master sourdough bread baking, but how to ensure they can get enough healthy food on the table and into the bellies of their young children. Throughout the pandemic, Alexandra Rose Charity has supported over 2,000 families to avoid food poverty and access healthy food. With this support from the sale of the Princess Alexandra of Kent rose we will be able to help even more families in 2022 and beyond.”
