Alexandra Rose Charity increases Rose Vouchers allowance to help tackle the cost of living crisis.

Inflation in the UK currently stands at 11.1% – the highest rate for over 40 years. A large contributing factor to this is food price inflation which increased sharply to 16.4% in October from 14.6% in September, according to data from the Office for National Statistics.

We’ve recently been talking with our community partners and families we support to decide how Alexandra Rose Charity can best respond to the current cost of living crisis.

Since we launched Rose Vouchers in 2014, most of the families we help have received £3 per child under five every week, doubled to £6 for expecting mums and children under twelve months old. Given the current economic difficulties many families are facing, we believe that now is the right time to increase the standard weekly Rose Voucher allocation from £3 to £4 per child under five.

The change will take effect from 1st December and will continue until 31st March 2023, when we will review its impact with the hope of continuing this increased level of support for families in need into the future.

This increase is only possible because of the amazing support we have received this year from our funders and supporters. So, thank you so much for supporting us.
