One of the aims of the Rose Voucher Project is to ensure families on low incomes can get access to fresh fruit and veg in their local communities. To achieve this we believe that it needs to be profitable to sell healthy and affordable food to people in low income areas thereby creating a flourishing and vibrant local food economy. We work closely with market teams in the areas we work in to support this vision.
In Hammersmith and Fulham we have been working with the markets team and North End Road Action Group to look at setting up a trader that accepts Rose Vouchers on the White City estate. Mohammed, a new trader with a brand new business, is now up and running.
