During 2018 we successfully developed and launched the ‘Rosie App’ to digitise the reimbursement of Rose Vouchers for participating retailers, thanks to support from Comic Relief’s Tech for Good programme.

You can watch our video that Comic Relief made about our work below:

This platform, designed by our tech partners Neon Tribe, was launched in July 2017 and over the next nine months was rolled out to all participating traders on the Rose Vouchers Project. The Rosie App has been a huge success. Traders love it because it reduces the amount of time between receiving vouchers and receiving payment. It also saves the charity a huge amount of time in administering the project.

With further support from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation we have started the journey to digitising the distribution of Rose Vouchers with our children’s centres. The first step has been to create a registration system for families. This was piloted in three children’s centres between February and March 2018 and is already proving popular with children’s centre staff.

We were very grateful to receive pro bono support from Dentons LLP during this process, who supported us to understand the use of open source technology and to develop a contract with our tech partners.
