The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project has expanded to a local foodbank in White City, supporting families on low-incomes to access fresh fruit and veg locally.
Rose Vouchers are now available to be collected and spent by families at the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank based at The Hub @ 75 in White City. Families can collect their vouchers biweekly from The Hub and pick up a bespoke recipe that includes a variety of fresh produce.
The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project launched in Hammersmith & Fulham in 2017. Families with young children under five years old collect their vouchers weekly or biweekly and spend them at their local market or greengrocer on the fruit and veg of their choice. Over the last five years, 748 families in Hammersmith & Fulham have received Rose Vouchers, with £134,788 worth of Rose Vouchers spent on fruit and veg to date.
The Hammersmith & Fulham foodbank is in an ideal location for the Rose Vouchers Project, situated very close to Shepherds Bush Market, where Rose Vouchers can also be spent with several market traders. One Rose Voucher is worth £1 and can be spent on any fruit and veg of the family’s choice.
