Runners-up for Charity Food Campaigner of the Year

We’re thrilled to be runners-up for the title of Charity Food Campaigner of the Year at this year’s Caroline Walker Trust Awards.

The need for the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg project has never been greater. We made it our top priority to get Rose Vouchers into families hands last year, so they had the spending power to buy the fruit and veg they needed.

Caroline Walker pioneered innovative strategies for improving the quality of our food, enhancing nutritional standards and promoting public health. It’s wonderful to have our work recognised by this fantastic organisation. We will continue to strive to give many more thousands of families around the UK access to fresh fruit and veg in their communities.

Congratulations to award winners Edinburgh Community Food too!

“We’re delighted to be announced as the Runner Up in the Caroline Walker Trust Charity Food Campaigner of the Year 2021. Over the last 18 months, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that families with young children can access fresh fruit & veg in their communities. It’s been a challenging time, but we’re proud of what we’ve managed to achieve. To get this acknowledgement from Caroline Walker Trust means a lot, not only to the staff of Alexandra Rose Charity but also to all of our project partners who support the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project across the UK. Without their hard work and dedication, we could not have achieved our impact.”
