We’re shocked, thrilled and delighted to announce that we’ve unexpectedly hit our Big Give Christmas campaign fundraising target!
Together, we hit our target! Thank you
Never in our wildest dreams did we think we’d achieve our target so soon, but when we put out a call that we’d need help raising £80,000 in one week, many of you answered and showed your support through donating, fundraising activities and sharing our campaign online. We’ve also been incredibly fortunate to have some large corporate donations, including from The Russell Partnership and innocent drinks.
Even though we’ve hit the target, our campaign doesn’t end here! Oh no, we’re now reaching for the stars and want to get as close to £100,000 as possible! Even though match funding has now been used up, we hope we can still inspire you to donate to help us support even more families this Christmas through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project.
With 2024 sure to throw unexpected challenges at families on low incomes, they’ll have peace of mind no matter what they’re facing; their child can be well cared for with a healthy diet full of fresh fruit & veg. None of this would be possible without your help.
If you’d like to donate and haven’t had the chance yet, our campaign will still be running until Tuesday 5th. Your donation will help take us one step closer to our new £100,00 target, supporting families facing unexpected hard times, like Amal’s family, whose story you can read below.
Amal is a mum to her 3-year-old daughter; the family were recently bereaved. Rose Vouchers are helping to provide some stability during this enormously difficult time.
“It is very hard at the moment. My husband had cancer and passed away four weeks ago, so it’s just me and my three-year-old daughter. We need all the support we can get. Rose Vouchers are helping us buy what we need, but the amount you can buy with your money is decreasing as the cost of everything goes up.Amal, mum.
Rose Vouchers are giving us more variety in the fruit and veg I buy from the market. It’s great shopping at the market. More than one shop takes Rose Vouchers, so I can go to another if I can’t get something like broccoli from one person. The shops have Rose Voucher signs, too, which helps me know where I can spend them.
I usually make different soups with mushrooms and aubergine. I buy carrots and apples to make juice. My daughter really likes this juice every day, and it keeps her healthy!”
With your compassionate support, we can extend a lifeline to families, reaching more of them than ever this Christmas. Parents regularly share with us the profound impact receiving Rose Vouchers has on their lives – that the worry of how they are going to put food on the table each night is a little lessened, the relief that they are able to provide their children with plenty of fresh fruit and veg every day.
