Vision, Mission and Values

We believe that everyone should have access to healthy, affordable food. Right now, healthy options cost more than twice as much per calorie as less healthy ones. This makes them far less affordable for people on low incomes. In fact, the poorest fifth of UK households would need to spend 50% of their disposable income to follow the Government’s recommended healthy diet. [1]

Through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects, we give people the spending power to buy nutritious food. We work directly with children’s centres and trusted community organisations that provide access to additional support. At the same time, we partner with market traders to offer weekly Rose Vouchers, which can be exchanged for fruit and vegetables at local markets.

Evidence shows that the first 1,001 days of a child’s life, from conception to age two, are crucial for shaping their future. Therefore, our Rose Vouchers for Early Years project focuses on families with children aged four and under, ensuring little ones get the best possible start in life.
